Yesterday marked the first month since my wedding day. It was also coupled with another SEO event in town as BeansBox, Internet Professionals Association of Hong Kong organized the Search Engine Marketing Seminar For Business Owners and Marketers at the cozy and convenient venue at Cliftons in Central.

The event promptly started at 7pm and I was introduced by Belle, after short welcome address by Lawrence Tse of iProA and a Clifton Hong Kong manager. My presentation was more high level than the last time we had last March as it aims to provide an insight of the importance of search engine marketing to website owners and businesses.

Search Marketing Expo Singapore 2009

Singapore will host one of the most credible search marketing gathering in the region as Search Marketing Expo will be held in the Lion City on the 2 -3 July. 2009. I wish I could come after failing to do so last year and it seems Hong Kong can’t host an SEO event of this magnitude in the meantime.

SEO Shirts from BeansBox and SEO Hong Kong

We just didn’t gave a free SEO seminar last 31st of March, we also gave away free shirts to participants. Shirts look similar to those shown below (we had to adjust them for economic reasons). While we believe shirts aren’t the most important element in the gathering, we thought it was a good way to thank those who came in and asked questions during the event. Not everyone got the shirt but we had a few left in the office.

Free SEO Seminar Success at HKUAA

I just arrived home from the free SEO seminar conducted at the Hong Kong University Alumni Association at Yip Fung Building in D’Aguilar Street in Central’s Lan Kwai Fong area. I am glad Belle at BeansBox is an alumna of HKU, so we had access to the venue, which is a very convenient location, just a stone’s throw away from the BeansBox office. About 40 of the 64 confirmed participants attended, which made the event a standing room only for half of the participants.

My slides (you can see them all in the attachment below) were composed of technical and content issues regarding making web pages visible in search engines. The crowd asked intelligent questions about about basic and intermediate topics.
