New Microsoft Linkdomain Command Available

Tue, Nov 13, 2007

Keywords, Links

Search Engine Roundtable reported that the command for checking backlinks is now back. Previously you can use “linkdomain:www.website.com” (no quotes) on the MSN Search box to find out which sites are linking to. MSN took it off, prompting some clamor from some folks.

Now, it’s a bit different because we need to prefix it with a plus (+) sign, so that if I need to find out who are linking to SEO Hong Kong I have to enter

+linkdomain:www.seo-hongkong.com

on the search form of www.live.com. We’ll see if the tool is going to stay afloat for a while, stay there for good, or cut our hopes of using the Live Search backlink checking routine short.
