2008 Search Quiz Winner

I am happy to announce to everyone that I won the 2008 Search Quiz organized by Matt McGee at Small Business SEM.

I must say that even if I won the contest, the quiz itself is a difficult one, as Matt himself would admit.

This year’s quiz was difficult, to say the least.

That meant I had to guess a few of the questions and cross my fingers that my guesses were the best and that I hurdle into the next question. But getting the hint is key. For example, I figured Barack Obama was the most tech-savvy among the US Presidential hopefuls, and therefore has the highest likelihood of posting a online marketing expert at Search Engine Watch job board.

I happen to post blogs about other items in the quiz such as Google’s indexing of a trillion pages and Google’s Blackle campaign so those questions were the easiest part.

However, I am familiar with the others, thanks mainly to my Google Reader feeds I read especially the quality updates by Search Engine Land and Search Engine Roundtable. For instance, the latter’s invitation to join the quiz through a post from Tamar Weinberg was where I learned about Mr McGee’s 2008 Search Quiz. Weinberg was the winner of last year’s quiz.

Thanks a lot Matt! 🙂

For more information on questions and answers of the quiz, Matt posted them all at the quiz winner announcement page.

Before I forget, I would also like to thank DazzlinDonna at SEO Scoop for featuring me as Search Blogger of the Day on the 17th of last Month.

Happy New Year everyone!
